Along the way...

I just told my wife I'm going to start posting again. This is getting to be like a bad New Year's Resolution. I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna....ohhhhhh there it goes.

So what's new? Not the bathroom. I'm still pretty much where I left you back in April. I do have plans - hmmm, we're beginning to develop a trend here aren't we - to make a supplies list and get it knocked out. Thus far it has worked out wonderfully. I can't do something or other because I don't have the right tool. Now I have an excuse to buy a new toy. My last toy, as yet unused, was a Skil compound miter saw, complete with a guiding laser and it even bevels. Ohhharrrr harrr. Next up, a table saw and something else that cuts just for good measure.

Oooh, another fun toy popped in to my life. I again used an excuse of needing something to get it. And, as I felt I wasn't really doing my part to contribute to our wonderful climate change, I had another reason. I went off and bought a 2006 Ford F-150 SuperCrew. It's so sweet. I've already used it to haul groceries like, twice.

One other thing I picked up along the way was a wife! It was wonderful. The wedding was beautiful, my bride was even more beautiful, and everyone seemed to have a blast at the reception. After the wedding, we went on a little plane ride to the West Indies and hung out in St. Lucia for a week. We went to an all-inclusive resort and gorged ourselves silly. I've gained over ten pounds since the wedding from not watching what I eat, and drink, since then. At any rate, I'm as happy as ever with A and we are just chugging along. She's trying to finish up her Master's degree and I'm working to keep the bills paid.

The beagle and the cat are doing the same as always. As a matter of fact, they're being quite rambunctious as I write and I believe I just heard the beagle yelp. Kitty cat is on the move.

Another thing I am ecstatic about is I just (finally) ditched Comcast completely. I can't tell you how long I've been calling them and scheduling appointments for them to come and fix my HD. They say the signal is weak because the power line is old. I pay monthly for half the channels that don't work. They blew me off three times, literally three days of waiting from 12 to 4 and them not showing up! ARRrrrgh. So, the cable is gone, I hooked up DSL, got the dish and now I get all the channels, all the internet, all the sports, all the movies....(this reminds me of that scene in Friday...She knows about the year 2000 snacks before they come out.

Ok ok ok, the last latest and greatest development in the life of D is that I am now brewing my own beer. I love it. It blends chemistry, creativity, problem solving, precision, and cooking all in one. Plus, you get a buzz off of your finished product. It's great. So far I've made an IPA, an Oktoberfest, and I am in the process of fermenting a tasty batch of Pumpkin ale that will be ready just in time for Thanksgiving. Mmmmm.

Ok, in a nutshell that's about it. It's a pretty big nut, but hey it's been a while. I'm married, my bathroom still has no sink, my dog and cat are still rolling all over each other, I have a truck, there's a big satellite dish on my my roof, and I"m brewing my own beer.

Oh, and BOO! Happy Halloween.
